These entries are the life and times of me, Dave. I am neither great nor too modest but I'd like to think I'm just a guy trying to get through life. If you wish to read the minutea, then you are welcome too. No one forced you to read it in the first place.
My life hasn't changed too much over time but there certainly are unique events that mark its passage. I am neither happy nor sad. I am much more an observer of things though I do get into the middle of things as well. My entries do tend to ramble as well but they do make sense to me.. sort of. smirks
There are a few people who I do mention. My parents are also important to my life. Sadly my Dad passed away in early 2012. Its been tough dealing with the loss but my family is dealing with it. We all still miss him dearly. My sister and her hubby and their three kids always visit me and check in on me. My brother does make an occasional visit but he's become estranged to the family. Its a bit of a sad tale that I won't get into here.
And of course Laura, has been the love of my life for a while now. I have become a better person with her. I can't think of my life without her in it.
I do write about sports, U2, collecting concert bootlegs, scifi, finescale modelling, computer gaming, my tv and dvd viewing, my job, goofing off, cooking, and a whole host of other topics. My interests are so varied. I sometimes wish I had more focus. But that would be boring. My life maybe too quiet and subdued for some people but its my life. If they can't handle it too bad. I'm happy with it.

"Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on Sunday night. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourselves. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons.
